Homeland Security Investigations, Boarder Enforcement Security Task Force recently held its annual “Dope Open” Golf Tournament with proceeds benefiting Hospice of the North Country. Law enforcement agencies from the U.S. and Canada gather annually at the Malone Golf Club to raise funds for area non-profit organizations. “We are honored and grateful that Hospice of the North Country was chosen to receive funds from this event,” said Cathlyn Lamitie, Hospice of the North Country Director of Development/Communications. The tournament attracted law enforcement personnel from several agencies including the NY State Police, St. Regis Mohawk Police, NY State DOC, U.S. Border Patrol, Cornwall Police Department, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The event raised $2,655.
