Terry Davio, Cindy West, Jean Davio, and Mike Davio enjoyed a beautiful day at the Malone Golf Club for the 12th annual Frank Davio Golf Tournament on July 21, 2017. This benefit is held in memory of Frank Davio (husband, father, and educator) who received hospice services. The Davio family continues Frank Davio’s legacy while having a meaningful impact on the patients and families Hospice of the North Country serves.
Hospice of the North Country invites you to play in its 13th Annual Frank Davio Memorial Golf Benefit on Friday, June 29 at the Malone Golf Club. Golfers may register for the event at the golf course or by calling the Pro Shop at 483.2926. Please call Hospice of the North Country at 483.3200 to learn about tournament sponsorship or gift contribution opportunities. The golf format is a four-person scramble with men's, women's and mixed divisions with a 1:30 shotgun start. Players have a chance to win prizes with games such as “longest drive” and “closest to the pin”. For the past thirteen years the Davio family has chosen to honor the memory of Frank Davio with this event. “We always look forward to this tournament and we are happy the Davio family is able to honor Frank’s memory while raising funds for Hospice of the North Country,” said Cathlyn Lamitie, Hospice Director of Development/Communications. The entry fee for Malone Golf Club members is $55 per player and $80 for non-members. Cost includes cart fee, greens fees, prizes, and dinner. All proceeds from this event will remain in the North Country to benefit the patients and families served by Hospice of the North Country. “We are fortunate to gain new sponsors every year and we are grateful to the many local businesses and golfers who support us year after year; community support allows us to continue to honor life while fulfilling our mission of helping people of the North Country die in spiritual, mental, and physical comfort,” said Lamitie.
