Direct Patient Contact

  • personal visits
  • provide caregivers with respite time

  • read to a patient
  • listen and share stories

Fundraising

  • assist in yearly mailings
  • represent the agency at public events
  • spear head new fundraisers

Office Support

  • typing, filing
  • computer data entry
  • media work
  • letter writing

Training

This enlightening class offers education in the hospice philosophy, grief and loss, medical issues, family dynamics and the role of the volunteer with end-of-life care. Office volunteers complete an orientation specific to the project in which they are interested.
