The 12th annual 5k run/walk will be held on Saturday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. Registration forms are available at hospicenc.org/events, Facebook or at the Hospice of the North Country office, 3909 St. Rt. 11. The 5k celebrates National Physical Therapy Month.
Participants may walk or run the 3 mile course that begins at the Malone Adult Center (formerly In Motion Physical Therapy), located at 14906 State Route 30 in Malone. The first 100 people to register for the event will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt. The registration fee is $20 (checks payable to Hospice of the North Country). In celebration of National Physical Therapy Month, local Therapists organize the 5k as a way of giving back to the community by supporting Hospice of the North Country, an organization that touches many lives.
All proceeds from this event will be used to benefit those served by Hospice of the North Country. “We appreciate the time and energy that Kathy and the Therapists dedicate to organizing such a fun event to support our patients and families,” said Cathlyn Lamitie, Hospice of the North Country Director of Development/Communications. “We are thankful to the businesses and organizations who sponsor this event and the people who participate each year in support of our Mission.” There will be refreshments, a 50/50 and gift raffle following the 5K.
