At this time, we are looking to increase and diversify our volunteer resource pool to better meet the needs of our patient population.
We would like to increase the number of volunteers available during the day, as well as increase our male volunteer population to help support our requests by our Hospice patients and families.
We are looking for kind hearted and compassionate souls. We would like to find:
1. Individuals available to commit during the day, with regularly availability;
2. Individuals with a clean and valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willing to travel to rural areas of the county;
3. Individuals in good health and able to wear masks during patient and staff interaction; and
4. Individuals over the age of 18 years of age and a clean background.
Volunteers offer support for such things as:
Caring presence/socialization;
Errands;
Light housekeeping
Light maintenance/ lawn care;
Reading; and/or Respite
No experience required.
Training and orientation will be provided by Hospice of the North Country staff.
