Emotional Support for Caregivers
Caring for a loved one can be emotionally taxing. Remember, it’s okay to feel overwhelmed. Here are ways to support your mental health as a caregiver:
Talk to someone who understands – join a caregiver support group.
Practice mindfulness or deep breathing to ease stress.
Focus on one positive thing each day, no matter how small.
Journal to help reduce stress, improve mental clarity, and promote emotional well-being by providing a space for self-expression and reflection.
Take small breaks when needed--utilize healthy distractions such as adult coloring, puzzles, crafts, reading, or listening to music.
